My Platform

Delivering Results for Precinct 4

As County Commissioner for Precinct 4, I am committed to keeping our community safe, improving infrastructure, expanding opportunity, protecting civil rights, and governing responsibly with my colleagues on the court. I believe in fiscal discipline, transparency, and working across the aisle to get real results for the people we serve.

Public Safety

Public safety must be effective, fair, and accountable. I have supported increased budgets for law enforcement and first responders, overseen the opening of a new Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace office, and helped coordinate the opening of a new Emergency Services District substation in Lytton Springs. I also spearheaded a historic bipartisan effort to pass the strongest county legislation in Texas regulating unlawful gunfire—keeping families safe while respecting constitutional rights.

Road Improvements & Infrastructure

Strong infrastructure supports safety, growth, and quality of life. I supported the $150 million Caldwell County road bond, delivering major improvements to Precinct 4. Since taking office, Precinct 4 roads are now 94% paved—up from below 75%. I also worked with TxDOT to study traffic patterns and improve safety along FM 1185.

Economic Opportunity & Affordability

Families deserve opportunity without rising costs. I supported lowering the county tax rate to its lowest level in more than a decade and helped secure millions of dollars in grants for Precinct 4—bringing investment home while protecting taxpayers. I am committed to responsible and sustainable growth that supports local jobs, protects our quality of life, and ensures Precinct 4 is prepared for the future without overburdening residents.

Community Outreach & Partnerships

Strong communities are built through collaboration. I worked with the Caldwell County Homeless Coalition to establish the first homeless shelter in Precinct 4 and continue partnering with nonprofits including Carter & Camille, the Joe Roland Community Center at St. John Colony, and Where We Thrive to meet real community needs. Throughout my first term, I have held numerous town halls to hear directly from community members about the issues and future we want to build together, and I will continue to do so if re-elected.

Defending Civil Rights & Fairness

Public safety and civil rights go hand in hand. I opposed the expansion of Flock mass surveillance cameras that disproportionately targeted Precinct 4 residents and stood against Caldwell County's participation in the unconstitutional and costly Operation Lone Star initiative.
